ULYSSES as remedial reading for dyslexics

I'm reading a wonderful memoir, publised in 19779, by Eileen Simpson, REVERSALS: A PERSONAL ACCOUNT OF VICTORY OVER DYSLEXIA. In it she relates how in her struggle to read she came across ULYSSES, With its weird spellings and words and just plain humorous weirdness (along with whole sections that brilliant readers didn't get as well), the novel was perfect for her.

Good to know. I had previously thought that reading Ulysses could cause dyslexia.
